Food preparation is a huge part of my life. In order to stay on track with clean eating, I prepare my food, measure into portions, package and freeze. This way, I have no excuses to eat poorly. Being a busy mother of 2, I’m always on the go. Before heading out the door, I will fill my soft cooler with at least 2 meals. For the next few weeks, Salmon and Green Beans will be my go to meal. I prepare the Salmon by adding lemon juice, salt & pepper. Using foil, I tent the Salmon and bake for 12 minutes at 350 degrees. I open up the tent and let the fish cook for another 10-12 minutes. At times I add fresh Dill or Lemon slices to the baking process. The bags of green beans I purchase from Costco. Pop in the microwave for 8 minutes after cutting the end of the bag and you have a healthy portion of veggies ready. Don’t look for excuses to eat crappy, chose to make your clean eating adventure and part of your lifestyle.

Below is the finished product after cooking, weighing and bagging my meals. I typically make 4 oz  or 6oz portion of protein, then add a cup of vegetables. I will eat some as a snack and others as a larger meal. The baggies are marked with a 4 or 6. I freeze these individual baggies in a Large Freezer Ziploc bag. Give food preparation a try. It will help you reach your goals much quicker.
